WHY DO WE RAISE YOUR DATA?

The use of your personal information enables us to process your requests faster, maintain better relationships with you, and improve our service.

WHAT TYPE OF DATA WE LEARN?

HOW LONG DO WE SAVE YOUR DATA?

We store your personal data only for as long as necessary for the above purposes. For each of the above purposes, the following table shows the maximum retention periods for your personal information. After the periods mentioned below, we will no longer use your personal data for these purposes.

• Protection of our legitimate interests, eg improvement of our products and services: a maximum of 5 years if you have entered into a contractual relationship with us or a maximum of 3 years if you have not entered into a contractual relationship with us
• Fulfillment of a legal obligation: as long as the storage is legally required
• Any other request you have: a maximum of 1 year after receiving your request
• Sending information that you have requested and / or would be interested in regarding our products and services: maximum 5 years until you have entered into a contractual relationship with us, or a maximum of 3 years if you have no contractual relationship with us we have received

WHO WE CONTINUE TO GIVE DATA?

We restrict the transfer of your personal data to our service providers and other companies of the NISSAN Group. Such exchanges may involve transmission of data outside the European Economic Area, but we will take all necessary measures to ensure adequate protection of the transferred data.

TRANSMISSIONS OUTSIDE THE EEA

Should personal data be transmitted from the European Economic Area (EEA), NISSAN will pay particular attention to how the data is processed by using EU model clauses in the entity outside the EEA.

SERVICE PROVIDER

We exchange information with companies that provide services on our behalf. This includes:

• Website hosting, e-mail services, business or auditing, data analysis, customer service, customer research and satisfaction surveys

These companies all have a strict obligation to protect your information.

GROUP COMPANIES

We may share data with other NISSAN companies and, in the event of a merger or reorganization, share it with third parties.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE AND SECURITY

It may be necessary for us to share your personal information with public and governmental bodies for reasons of national security, law enforcement or other public interest. As far as permitted by law, we will inform you of such transmission.

We may also disclose personal information if we determine in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, resolve legal conflicts, enforce our terms and conditions, investigate fraud or protect our users.

WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?

In relation to the above mentioned purposes, you have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored and to request their rectification or deletion at any time. You also have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes or to require processing restrictions. The revocation has no effect on the legality of the previous data processing and does not extend to such data processing, for which there is a legal reason for permission and which therefore can be processed without consent. You are entitled to data transferability under the applicable legal requirements in order to receive your personal data in a structured, common and machine-readable format.

By voluntarily submitting information to Nissan International SA (NISA), you agree that this information is non-confidential and that NISA may now and future store and use this information to provide you with agreed services. NISA may also share this information with other members of the Nissan Group of Companies and with other companies for the purposes set out above. If you prefer not to receive such services, please inform NISA that you wish to decline to receive such information. Pursuant to Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution on Data Protection and Swiss Legislation, you may inquire as to what "personal information" Nissan holds about you.
